It is an honor to be a student at such a prestigious university

This year is very significant for Al Farabi Kazakh National University because it celebrates its 90th anniversary. Over this period the university has demonstrated its potential and ability to compete at the international level. In this article I’d like to describe the achievements of our university as the country’s leading educational institution with a long history and high educational standards. No matter how many years a person lives in the world where difficulties and exciting things coexist, no matter what kind of job a person does, the most unforgettable moments of his or her life are the wonderful times at university.

I am a proud student of Al-Farabi University now! I and my classmates are proud that according to the results of an independent assessment conducted by the world’s most famous and authoritative international rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University received a high rating, got high marks and was awarded “Five stars” in the in the international rating of  “QS Stars Rating System”. It should be noted that KazNU is the first and only educational institution in the Central Asian region to receive the “Five Stars” award. It was the first Kazakhstan university to be included in the top 200 universities of the world rating. In addition, in the rating of the European Chamber of Science and Industry, KazNU received the grade “AA+” and entered the top European higher education institutions. Thanks to all these achievements, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was recognized as the best  university in the Turkiс and Islam world. As the global hub for sustainable development of the UN Academic Impact program, KazNU developed and introduced the University 4.0 model which was presented at the UN headquarters in New York. In addition, KazNU entered the top 200 universities among 700 universities in 78 countries according to the study of the global ranking of the most environmentally friendly universities in the world “UI Green Metric Ranking of World Universities.

I believe that the graduates of Al Farabi Kazakh National University will be able to achieve great milestones and make a great contribution to the social, political, cultural, and economic development of Kazakhstan.  I hope that they will further develop our society and join the ranks of the leading countries of the world. We should work a lot! The time has come to ask ourselves what I can do for my country!
