"Brides' Rebellion" is one of the works written in the comedy genre that has not come off the stage. Based on the motives of this play, many performances were staged in fourteen countries around the world, a number of feature films were shot. The play "Bride Rebellion" by Said Ahmad, a prominent writer and playwright of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was written more than thirty years ago.
The dark comedy shows not the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, but the problems occurring in society as a whole. It is based on the problems that people face in everyday life, such as freedom, will, action, and the right to choose. The play utilizes the national dances and music of the Uzbek people, who hold the traditions of their grandfathers firmly in place. The comedy, filled with humor, immerses the audience in deep reflection, eliciting laughter.
