Congratulations to Eliubaev Kanat Omirbayuly on winning the Competition of innovative projects of student business incubators!

The Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine, and Neuroscience wholeheartedly congratulates Yeliubayev Kanat Omirbayuly, a 4th-year student of the specialty “6B05102-Biology”, on winning the Competition of Innovative Projects of Student Business Incubators! His project, titled “hexa.bilim – білім беруді геймификациялау қосымшасы”, presented under the scientific guidance of Kairat B.K., is a mobile application for gamifying biological education. This project was recognized as the best among 26 projects nominated for the competition and received a well-deserved 2nd place along with a cash prize in the amount of 100 thousand tenge.

The application "UBT Biology 2024", developed by Kanat, is already available on the Play Store and App Store. The application is popular among schoolchildren, with over 5,000 installations to date. The innovation of this application lies in its ability to reward users with coins for passing tests, watching video lessons and notes, as well as participating in dueling battles among biologists. These coins can be utilized to construct a city on Mars, thereby incentivizing learning and showcasing progress. Covering the school biology curriculum for grades 7-11, the application offers various test types and the capability to analyze errors post-completion. All information is stored in the data cloud, and performance indicators are tracked across each of the 18 departments.

This application is the culmination of Kanat's journey in educational programming, which began in 10th grade with the creation of the UBT Kazakhstan Tarikh application, utilized by over 75,000 Kazakh students.
