On December 12, 2023, the walls of the Caspian Public University hosted the regular XVII International Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic: "The Internet and human rights", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and timed to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The conference program was attended by scientists, politicians who spoke at the plenary session, after a coffee break, breakout sessions were held, at which students from various republican universities of Kazakhstan made presentations and took part in a discussion on important issues stated in the information letter:
- problems of providing access to Internet resources, educational resources;
- the Internet in the field of healthcare;
- prevention and prevention of offenses in the digital space, etc.
Personally, I and students of the 3rd year of the Faculty of Law and the 2nd year of law enforcement at al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Klara Konakbayeva, Askar Abishev, Bukumbai Karina, Sultanbekova Sabina, Smailova Dilnaz, Dayana Taipova were lucky enough to take a direct part in this event.
The basis of the speakers' speeches was to clarify such important issues as the problem of ensuring the rule of law in the Internet space, cyberbullying, protection of intellectual property rights, cybercrime.
The conference participants proposed effective ways to overcome the problems in this area. Undoubtedly, there are hopes that digitalization will play an important role in the formation of a new modernized Kazakhstan in the near future and we will be able to overcome the cybercrime barrier.
I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers of such an important event for the security of cyberspace in the world, and especially to the permanent organizer of the release of materials of the annual conferences held at KOU, PhD, Professor Kalimbekova Assel Rakhatovna! We would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Y.N. Kalisheva Nazhiya Husainovna, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law for the comprehensive assistance and support to all participants of the conference and the scientific community!!!
Soon we expect the current release of the conference materials, where articles by students of the Law Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will be published!
