International round table on the topic “Geological science as a catalyst for the development of basic sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan.”

        An international round table was held dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Academician K.I. Satbaev.

        On April 11, 2024, during the organization of the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of KazNU named after. Satbaev on the topic “Geological science as a catalyst for the development of basic sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan.”

        The round table was attended by 50 participants from 4 countries - Kazakhstan, Russia, Great Britain and the USA. The round table concluded the conclusions of geological science as a catalyst for the development of basic sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan: The results of the international round table dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Academician K.I. Satbaev and master's degree in Geology and Geomorphology.

        Today, Kazakhstan is one of the world leaders in reserves of minerals such as zinc, lead, chromium, uranium, tungsten, and manganese. The country intensively mines precious metals (gold, silver, etc.). Not only the material and raw material base, but also socio-economic development depends on how efficiently the work is carried out and how well the deposits are explored.

        At the round table the following decision was made: Let us note the high level of reports of geological science as a catalyst for the development of basic sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan: International round table dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Academician K.I. Satbaev, passed at a high level, the master's program “Geology and Geomorphology” was introduced.
