SDG 12: Responsible consumption and production

Associate Professor of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data M.A. On April 19, Nurgul Tletayevna Karymsakova and 1st year master’s students conducted an educational lesson with a 2 year group of 22-02 majors in the “Data Science” specialty on the topic “Implementing the 12th Sustainable Development Goal: Responsible Consumption and Production.” It was an interesting activity that helped students understand the importance of this goal and their role in achieving it. In addition, the main objectives of the topic were discussed, including:
1. The importance of rational use of chemicals and waste.
2. Explored ways to halve global food waste.
3. He emphasized the need to eliminate market imbalances that lead to wasteful consumption.
This lesson was an important step towards increasing students' readiness to actively participate in achieving Goal 12. We believe that stimulating the development of environmentally friendly technologies and innovation is aimed at production, which in turn will help improve people's quality of life and preserve natural resources for future generations.
