Rosa Gabdullovna Abdulkarimova
Abdulkarimova was born R.G. February 18, 1953 in the city of Charsk, East Kazakhstan region. In 1975 she graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Kazakh State University S.M. Kirov (now al-Farabi Kazakh National University) and to this day the life of Rosa Gabdullovna is inextricably linked with the Kazakh National University, where she spent her student years and began her career as a scientist and teacher.
His career began in the laboratory of physical and chemical research methods at Kazakh State University as an engineer, then as a junior/senior researcher. Carrying out research on the study of combustion processes and inhibition of polymers, in 1984 she defended her PhD thesis on the topic “Vanadium inhibitors of the combustion process of epoxy resin” under the scientific supervision of professors G.I. Xandopulo and B.Ya. Kolesnikov.
R.G. Abdulkarimova carried out scientific work at the Institute of Combustion Problems from the moment of its creation by Professor G.I. Xandopulo. A team of researchers headed by Professor G.I. Ksandopulo, performed a number of contractual works marked “For official use”, including the development of heat-shielding plates for the «Buran» spacecraft (Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, Zhukovsky, All-Union Institute of Aviation Materials, Scientific and production association «Energia», Moscow), where R.G. Abdulkarimova, as a leading employee, was the responsible executor. In 2010, Abdulkarimova R.G. defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Synthesis of silicon and composite materials based on polymorphic modifications of silicon dioxide in combustion mode” under the guidance of Professor Z.A. Mansurov. Abdulkarimova R.G. carries out management of scientific projects under programs of fundamental and applied research granted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Research is carried out at the intersection of scientific fields, including chemical physics and combustion processes, solid state physics and chemistry, and materials science, involving students, undergraduates, and doctoral students in research work, instilling in them an interest in scientific research and their future profession.
Since 1992, Abdulkarimova R.G. combines scientific activities with teaching. From 1993 to 2001 and 2010-2012. was deputy head of the department of chemical physics and materials science for educational work. As deputy head of the department, R.G. Abdulkarimova was involved in the introduction of innovative forms and methods of training in the specialties “Chemical technology of explosives and pyrotechnics”, “Nanomaterials and nanotechnologies”. At meetings of the department, she systematically initiated issues of intensifying the educational process through the introduction of scientific achievements, including the results of scientific research conducted at the Institute of Combustion Problems, advanced pedagogical practices, technical teaching aids, new educational technologies, educational and methodological complexes, as well as the inextricability of educational work with educational.
Abdulkarimova R.G. is the developer of the State Educational Standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Chemical Technology of Explosives and Pyrotechnics” (co-developers – Mansurov Z.A., Zavadsky V.A., Aknazarov S.Kh.), coordinator of the educational program “Nanomaterials and nanotechnologies in chemistry” for doctoral studies. In 2018, for the first time in Kazakhstan, a specialty for bachelor’s degree “Nanomaterials and nanotechnologies in chemistry” was opened, which ensures continuity of education “bachelor’s-master’s-doctoral” at the university, the initiators and developers of the new educational program were Professor Z.A. Mansurov. and Abdulkarimova R.G. In addition, he is the chairman of the section “Nanomaterials and nanotechnologies in chemistry” of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council, a member of the Academic Committee on the Quality of Education of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of KazNU al-Farabi. Abdulkarimova R.G. has more than 200 scientific and methodological works, including publications in international scientific journals with a high impact factor, 7 copyright certificates of the USSR, 10 innovative patents and pre-patents, patents for inventions and utility models of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2 patents of the Russian Federation, 5 review articles in collections scientific works of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Russia, she published 6 textbooks and 4 methodological recommendations for performing laboratory work in Kazakh, Russian, English, is a member of the editorial board of the journal “Combustion and Plasma Chemistry”.
Abdulkarimova R.G. is the owner of the grant “Best University Teacher” (2017), awarded the badge “For Merit in the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2015), the medal “Enbek Ardageri” (2019), the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2021), the medal “Eren Enbegi Ushin” (2023)
Abdulkarimova R.G. actively participates in the work of domestic and international scientific conferences and forums, being a speaker, Roza Gabdullovna visited leading scientific forums in Russia, Georgia, USA, Brazil, Australia, England, France, Germany, Greece, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Turkey.
