Z.A. Mansurov is an outstanding figure among Kazakhstani scientists, characterised by his pioneering contributions to a wide range of disciplines, including chemical physics of combustion processes, nanotechnology and nanomaterials. His research endeavors are dedicated to tackling pressing environmental challenges, advancing energy regeneration, and promoting environmentally friendly fuel combustion practices.
In 1992 Z.A. Mansurov as a member of the scientific team headed by the Director of the Institute of Combustion Problems, Professor G.I. Xandopulo, was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the cycle of works "Fundamental studies of chemical bases of combustion processes".
In 2002, Z.A. Mansurov was awarded the First Satpayev Prize (Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan), recognising his outstanding contribution to natural sciences.
In 2018, Z.A. Mansurov was awarded the UNESCO medal "For Contribution to the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology" at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, which once again emphasised his outstanding achievements in this field.
Z.A. Mansurov is active in training of scientific personnel, under his supervision 8 doctors of sciences, 39 candidates of sciences, 20 Ph.D. (Bologna Declaration) were trained, he is the scientific supervisor of two Ph.D. students.
Since 2024 Z.A. Mansurov is a member of the National Council on Science and Technology under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Z.A. Mansurov is the organiser and editor-in-chief of the journals:
