Aknazarov Sestager Khusainovich

      Kazakh, was born in 1947 in the family of a serviceman in Uralsk, West-Kazakhstan region.

He graduated from high school in Almaty and entered and graduated from the Department of Solid State Physics at S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University (KazSU) in 1970.

He has completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of Solid State Physics (Chernogolovka, Moscow Region).

Since 1976 - Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Major 01.04.07 - Solid State Physics; since 2005 - Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Major 01.04.17 - Chemical Physics, including Physics of Combustion and Explosion and 02.00.04 - Physical Chemistry.

Since 2020. - Academician of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Natural Sciences

He started his career as a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Physical and Chemical Investigation Methods of the Faculty of Chemistry of KazSU, then worked as a  Senior Lecturer at KazPTI named after K. Satpayev, Head laboratory of The Kazakh Research Institute of Mineral and Raw Materials, Director-General of the International Center for Scientific Culture - World Laboratory, Head of Laboratory of Physical and Chemical Investigation Methods of the Faculty of Chemistry, KazNU, Director General of RSE "Institute of Combustion Problems" of  Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, General Director of Scientific Production and Technical Center "Zhalyn" LLP and Acting Professor of the Department of Chemical Physics and Materials Science, Al-Farabi KazNU.

His research interests in chemical physics and physical chemistry are in the dynamics and kinetics of plasma chemical process initiation and development, mechanochemical reactions and self-igniting high-temperature synthesis with applications in the field of pharmaceuticals. Head of scientific projects carried out within the framework of grant programs and targeted funding programs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Head of Commercialization Programs of the "Science Foundation" JSC of Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In different years received and fulfilled grants from the Embassy of the Netherlands in Russia, ISAR, the World Bank and Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan, Mileokontakt (the Netherlands), the Ministries of Ecology of Denmark, Finland and Norway for scientific and environmental research.

He has delivered scientific reports at the University of Dundee (Scotland), within the UN Environment for Europe process in Johannesburg (South Africa), Kiev (Ukraine), Tbilisi (Georgia), Nairobi (Kenya), Bangkok (Thailand), Juji (Korea), as well as in Sweden, France, USA, Spain and Mexico.

Prepared: candidates of science - 2, doctors of PhD - 6.

List of publications - more than 360 works, individually and in co-authorship, scientific articles, and theses of reports - 267, including 42 - in international rating publications. The author's certificates - 36, patents - 33, including foreign ones - 4 Eurasian and 2 European. 

Citation Index - Average Citations per Item = 8.75, Hirsch Index - h-index = 3 (Thomson Reuters), Hirsch Index - h-index = 4 (Scopus).

In 2007 according to the results of scientific and pedagogical activity he won the Grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "The best teacher of the university - 2007" and was awarded a badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2013 for outstanding services to the Fatherland in the field of state building, economic development and strengthening the international prestige of the Republic of Kazakhstan he was awarded the Order "Glory of Kazakhstan".

In 2015 awarded the Jubilee Medal to the 80th anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU.

In 2017 by the order of the Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his achievements in the field of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan he was awarded a breastplate "For merits in the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
