On the preservation of clean water and water resources

Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal No. 6 "Ensuring the availability and rational use of water resources and sanitation for all" and events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of our University, on October 20, 2023 for students and undergraduates of our university by a senior lecturer at the Department of Health Policy and Management, Candidate of Medical Sciences Khairushev A.E. held an informative lecture online "On the preservation of clean water and water resources" (event No. 66 according to the roadmap of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Care to promote the Kazakh National University in the ranking of higher educational institutions). The main purpose of the lecture was to disseminate information about the importance and necessity of protecting water resources and drinking water. The issue of ensuring the availability and rational use of water resources, as well as sanitation for all, is important for humanity for a number of reasons, in particular: water is necessary to maintain life, ensure sanitary standards, develop agriculture, meet the needs of industrial production and many other aspects of our daily lives. Access to clean water and sanitation is a matter of equity and social stability. Sustainable use of water resources is important for maintaining ecological balance. Water pollution and overuse of water resources without proper consideration of the consequences can negatively affect ecological systems and biological diversity. Thus, ensuring the availability and rational use of water resources, as well as sanitation for all, is not only a matter of survival, but also an important aspect of ensuring the sustainable development of human society.
