SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

One of the main goals of education is the preservation and transfer of a prosperous planet to future generations. To this end, it is necessary to pay attention to the concept of sustainable development, which is especially relevant at the international level with the support of the United Nations. In 2015, 17 Sustainable Development Goals were developed at the UN summit. Explaining the concept of sustainable development to young people is one of the urgent measures. Familiarization of students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the environmental goal of the concept of sustainable development became possible after a full acquaintance with the technology of chemical production. An event was held to make sure of the damage caused by chemical production from incorrectly selected technologies to the environment, which ultimately made it possible to understand that the focus on environmental issues of sustainable development is directly related to their future professions.
