Training seminar "Anti-corruption compliance in the public and quasi-public sectors"
On April 24 of the current year, employees of the Compliance Control Service of the University participated in the online training seminar "Anti-corruption compliance in the public and quasi-public sectors". The training course was organized within the framework of the project "Integrity Review". In 2021, the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved a grant agreement between Kazakhstan and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for the implementation of the Review project. The speakers of the seminar were representatives of the OECD Frederic Boyem and Oksana Gus. The format of the seminars included theoretical materials, interactive exercises and group work, discussions, sharing of examples and best practices, following thematic focus:
- Sharing organizational and coordination models for anti-corruption and integrity in the public sector, including individual country experiences in implementing integrity/anti-corruption strategies in the public sector;
- Provide selected country experiences in supporting, incentivizing and evaluating ethics compliance work in the public sector;
- Discussing the role and functions of ethics and compliance officers in quasi-public bodies;
- Addressing methodological and coordination challenges to support integrity work in quasi-governmental organizations;
- Building alliances of practitioners and discussing the possibility of adapting and extending the model to the whole of public administration.
