Yerlan Altynbayuly Alimbaev

Born on January 6, 1975. In 1996, he graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, majoring in Urdu language and literature;

In 2017, he was awarded the Master of International Relations at the Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations in Geneva, Switzerland.

In 1997, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and held various diplomatic positions in the Central Office and the Embassies in India, South Korea, and the Permanent Representation in Geneva.

2018-2019 - Served as Ambassador for Special Assignments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Coordinator of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization from the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2019-2021 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of India;

From February 2022, until he was appointed as the Permanent Representative of the country to the UN in Geneva, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
