International Summer School: “International Legal Protection of the Rights of Migrants”

On April 29-30, 2024, the Department of International Law held an International Summer School: “International Legal Protection of the Rights of Migrants”, where invited speakers such as Deputy Director of the Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law Denis Andreevich Dzhivago, Professor of the Department of International Law rights and human rights" of the Tashkent State Law University Rakhimova Muattara Abdusattarova and professor of the Higher School of Economics of the Kyrgyz National University. Zh. Balasagyna  Omurova Saltanat Kaiyrovna.

During the summer school, issues such as labor migration, refugee status, and illegal migration were revealed and analyzed. Denis Andreevich Dzhivago also advised Afghan citizens on the preparation of the necessary documents for applying for a residence permit. The concept of transformation of labor migration into circular labor migration was also revealed. The summer school itself was very lively, given the relevance of the given topic. Listeners actively asked questions and participated in debates.
