The delegation of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences Aliya Aktymbaeva, takes part in the 14th Asian Tourism Forum 2024

The event is held in Indonesia at the Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism. The forum focuses on the latest achievements and prospects in the field of tourism. Participation in such a large-scale event emphasizes the active cooperation and contribution of KazNU to the development of international tourism.

As part of her participation at this Forum, Dean Aliya Aktymbayeva met with the rector of Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism Iwan Riady, S. Sos., M. Si., CHE. During the visit, issues of expanding cooperation between universities aimed at achieving SDG 17 “Partnerships for Sustainable Development” and SDG 4 “Quality Education” were discussed. The possibilities of joint educational programs, as well as student exchange programs to strengthen academic mobility were discussed. This will allow students from both universities to gain new experiences and knowledge, promoting international understanding and educational enrichment.
