Professor staff from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a series of educational lectures at the University of Palembang Polytechnic University

The purpose of these lectures was to strengthen academic connections and exchange knowledge in various fields, including tourism, technology and sustainable development. Aimed at achieving SDG 17 Partnerships for Sustainable Development and SDG 4 Quality Education, the event highlighted the importance of international educational cooperation and provided students with valuable knowledge from leading experts.

Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, Aliya Aktymbaeva, held a meeting with students of Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism, discussing current issues of digitalization in the tourism industry. During the lecture, she introduced the audience in detail to the departments and educational programs of KazNU, and also spoke about the leading scientific projects and innovative laboratories at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences. Discussion of the latest technology trends in tourism, including the use of mobile applications and automated systems to improve the user experience, aroused keen interest among students, highlighting the importance of modern innovations for future careers in tourism. Discussion of current cases showed how technology can contribute to more sustainable and affordable tourism, which was especially popular with students who see great prospects for their future careers in this.

A lecture by PhD in Tourism, Gulbaram Kulakhmetova, on “The Application of Big Data in the Management of Tourist Destinations in Kazakhstan” was successfully held at Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism. The lecture aroused great interest among students due to the relevance of the topic and deep understanding of the subject. Gulbaram Amantaevna discussed in detail examples of the successful use of big data analytics to optimize tourism services and products, which is especially important for developing tourism markets. She detailed the importance of big data in tourism development, highlighting how modern technologies can improve tourism management and increase visitor satisfaction. The lecture provided students with new insights and inspired them to apply this knowledge in practice. In conclusion, Gulbaram Kulakhmetova shared successful case studies from her experience, which added practical significance to the theoretical concepts discussed.
