KazNU student - winner of OCEANMAN 2024 SPAIN

Yeldar Shekerbek, a student of the Law Faculty of Al-Farabi KazNU, a famous Kazakhstani athlete, won a gold medal at a distance of 10 km, in the Masters 20-29 category of the OCEANMAN 2024 SPAIN Open Water Swimming Championship.

The championship was attended by swimmers from Mexico, Australia, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Macedonia, France, Egypt, Poland and 30 other countries.

As Shekerbek Yeldar said, the 10 km swim was held in conditions of tough competition. The composition of the participants who came to participate in the European stage of OCEANMAN 2024 SPAIN, was very strong and motivated to win.

Oceanman international swimming competitions are held at sea or in open water and every year they are gaining popularity among people leading a healthy lifestyle. Oceanman is a unified championship where several competitions are held in different locations around the world each year. According to the rules of the qualification system, the first 10 women and 10 men from each stage automatically qualify for the finals.

Shekerbek Yeldar is the reigning champion of Kazakhstan in open water swimming at 2 km, 5 km and 10 km, absolute champion of Asia in 5 km, world champion in 3*500 m relay, silver and bronze medal winner in the Persian Gulf 10 km swim, UAE, winner of the Universiade 2023.
