The International scientific and practical conference "Constitutional Principles of the Administration of Justice" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
This event was organized as part of the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The conference is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the famous statesman and public figure, Doctor of Law, Professor Mami Kairat Abdrazakovich. Currently, Professor Mami Kairat Abdrazakovich is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The moderator of the conference is Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev.
For many years, Mami Kairat Abdrazakovich worked in the civil service, held the positions of Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Prosecutor General of the country.
First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus Valery Kalinkovich, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic Emil Oskonbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Nurmukhanov, member of the International Council of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mark Biir, judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Shafiev, Chairman of the Judicial Board for Civil Cases of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurserik delivered greetings and scientific reports Sharipov, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koigeldiev, the head of the Department of Justice of Almaty Balayim Kesebayeva.
The conference discussed issues of improving the judicial system, increasing public confidence, implementing the constitutional principles of the administration of justice, ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and modernizing the judicial system. The new legal initiatives of the Head of State aimed at protecting human rights are considered.
After the plenary session, the conference participants continued their work at the in-session meetings. Issues related to the implementation of the norms of the Constitution in criminal proceedings, the implementation of the principle of presumption of innocence in criminal proceedings were considered here. Special attention was paid to the protection of human rights in criminal proceedings.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Akimat of Almaty, veterans of the domestic and foreign legal sphere, well-known judges, legal scholars, teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and university students.
