Nurzhuma Yelesbai is a literary critic, an expert on ancient manuscripts, and a textual critic. He was born in 1982 in Shapshali district of the Ile-Kazakh Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. In 2003-2004, he studied at the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2004-2008, he studied at the Philological Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2010-2012, he graduated from the Faculty of Philology and Foreign Languages of Kainar University with a degree in Kazakh language and Literature. Since 2009, he has worked as a junior researcher in the Department of Manuscripts at the M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art. He is currently working as a researcher at the said institute. In 2016, Nurzhuma Yelesbai was awarded the "State Scholarship for Talented Young Scientists", and in 2023 he was awarded a "Letter of Thanks" from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his contribution to the development of education and science.
