KazNU trains specialists jointly with Shenyang University

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Rector of Shenyang Innovative Talent Education Institution Guan Shifen.

During the conversation they discussed the issues of strengthening bilateral relations between the universities, as well as worked out joint work on the training of master's and doctoral students.

At the meeting Zhanseit Tuimebaev informed about the ties between KazNU and Chinese universities. In his speech, the rector told the guest of honor about the activities of scientific laboratories opened on the basis of the university together with Chinese educational institutions.

"There are 970 Chinese students studying at Al-Farabi KazNU. Cooperation with universities of China is expanding every day. From the new academic year together with the Shenyang Educational Institution of Innovative Talent Training it is necessary to start work on preparation of masters and doctoral students. If there is a demand, we intend to work on increasing the number of young people studying," the rector said.

During the meeting, Guang Shifen, rector of Shenyang Talent Innovative Training Institution, said that the two universities have great prospects for developing cooperation in technical, IT and humanities.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to conclude a contract and establish a common working group for the training of master's and doctoral students.
