Students of the EP “International Law” of the Faculty of International Relations of Kazakh National University took part in the Summer School 2024 “Global Youth Leadership” Xi’an Jiaotong University, University Alliance of the Silk Road.

The Xi'an Jiaotong University Summer school program included lectures on Chinese history, legal issues and culture. Leading professors at the university gave lectures to students and teachers of KazNU. Professor Dr. Zhiwei Shan paid great attention to issues related to globalization and the development of cooperation between states. Lectures by professors Dr. Liqun Zhang, Dr. O`Flathety Gabriel Nicholas and other leading experts. In addition to the educational process, excursions to national museums, demonstrations of archaeological excavations of an ancient city, the beginning of Chinese civilization were organized for students, and students also took great pleasure in attending courses in calligraphy, kung fu and fan painting.

Professor XJTU gave a speech at the closing ceremony. She noted the eagerness to learn, and the spirit of collaboration demonstrated by the summer school participants, urging them to continue this spirit in future research. The professor expressed the hope that the Summer School will leave unforgettable memories of XJTU for the participants; upon arrival, each participant will share their experiences in China with family and friends to promote a better understanding of the country.

All participants recalled the wonderful moments of the Summer School, shared their impressions, and talked about the culture of their country. The summer school showed the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experience between teachers and students.
