Co-operation with an Indonesian university

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev during his working trip to Indonesia met with Rector of Malikussaleh University Herman Fitra.

 

The parties held talks and discussed issues of establishing ties between KazNU and Malikussaleh University.

At the meeting, the heads of the two universities signed an agreement on intentions of co-operation. According to the document, the universities will make every effort to establish mutually beneficial partnerships in science and education. In the future, the two universities will exchange teachers and students under the academic mobility programme, conduct scientific research, joint conferences and seminars.

Rector of the University Malikussaleh told Zhanseit Tuimebayev about the history of the higher educational institution and familiarised him with its activities. In his speech, Herman Fitra noted that today's agreement will be the basis for the beginning of bilateral ties.

‘Malikussaleh University is interested in the development of comprehensive partnership with KazNU. Today's negotiations are the result of the work of the two universities. I am confident that in the future we will achieve new significant successes,’ said Herman Fitra.

In turn, Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev thanked Herman Fitra for his attention and noted that the two universities have common goals.

‘I would like to note that KazNU intends to work closely with Malikussaleh University. I consider my visit to Indonesia - a significant event, in terms of giving a new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation. I am confident that in the future we will achieve great results together,’ said Zhanseit Tuimebayev.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to systematically carry out the above-mentioned works and exchanged memorable gifts.
