Introduction of First-Year Students to the Department
As part of the events marking the beginning of the academic year, the leadership of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling held a meeting with first-year students enrolled in the educational programs 6B06105 - Mathematical and Computer Modeling and 6B05405 - Applied Mathematics. During the event, students received detailed information about the history of the faculty and the department, and they were introduced to the rules of the Academic Policy and the Student Honor Code.
The head of the department, Associate Professor Saule Mausumbekova, congratulated the students on the start of their academic journey and expressed confidence in their future success. She emphasized the importance of maintaining academic standards and high ethical norms, which form the foundation for success in both academic and scientific activities.
This meeting was an important step in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal №4: "Quality Education." The primary goal of this SDG is to ensure inclusive, accessible, and quality education, as well as to promote lifelong learning opportunities. The department leadership aims to create conditions that facilitate students' academic success and professional growth, fully in line with this goal.
The first-year students showed active interest in the presented materials and asked numerous questions related to both the department's history and academic expectations. Such engagement and readiness to learn are good indicators of the students' future success and achievements.
As the academic year begins, the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling wishes its students success, diligence in their studies, and confidence in their successful journey in the world of science and education.
