Leadership Lecture by Dean of School of Geography and Environment of Jiangxi Normal University, Professor Hui Lin

A delegation from Jiangxi Normal University (PRC) paid a working visit to Al-Farabi KazNU.

The delegation included the Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environment of Jiangxi Normal University, Professor Hui Lin, Professor Chunling Meng, Professor Wenjing Yang, Assistant Professor Lizhi Tao.

As part of the visit, the guests met with the Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences A.S. Aktymbayeva. The Dean presented the scientific and innovative activities of the faculty, which are carried out in the scientific center "Sustainable Development and Environmental Management", the Kazakh-Chinese laboratory "Remote Sensing Technology and Application" and current research projects aimed at studying and developing sustainable methods of nature management. The issues of potential cooperation between universities in the field of training PhD students, developing joint educational programs, implementing student exchanges and research projects, etc. were discussed.

Then, a Leadership Lecture was given by the Dean of the School of Geography and Environment of Jiangxi Normal University, Professor Hui Lin on the topic "Revitalization of Cultural Heritage".

It is worth noting that Professor Hui Lin is a member of the British Academy of Social Sciences and an academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, the founder and honorary president of the International Association of Chinese Specialists in Geographical Information Scientists (CPGIS), an honorary professor and the founding director of the Institute of Space and Earth Informatics of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since 2012, he has been elected Vice Chairman of the China National Committee of the International Digital Earth Society.
