KazNU Faculty of International Relations strengthens cooperation with leading universities in the USA
The teaching stuff of the Faculty of International Relations is actively involved in the development of international scientific and innovative cooperation with the United States.
Delovarova Leila Fedorovna, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations and World Economy, took part in an international symposium organized by James Madison College at Michigan State University (USA) in memory of Martha Brill Olcott, an innovative scientist in the field of Eurasian studies. The event was organized in the format of a retrospective symposium on the evolution of Eurasian and Central Asian studies.
Delovarova L.F. spoke at the session on Central Asia along with leading scientists and figures, including Roza Otumbayeva, former President of Kyrgyzstan, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Afghanistan and Head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, Nargiz Kasenova, Director of the Program for the Study of Central Asia, Davis Center for Eurasian Studies of Harvard University, as well as Norman Graham, Senior Professor at James Madison College (JMC) (Faculty of International Relations), Michigan State University, Honorary Director of the Center for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies.
During his stay at JMC, on behalf of the leadership of the faculty and department, meetings were held with colleagues from other American universities and centers, with the leadership of JMC and leading scientists in order to discuss the development of cooperation on student exchange, teaching staff, the organization of summer schools and courses, scientific and innovative cooperation, as well as to promote the development of a new direction - "Water Diplomacy" in the context of interdisciplinary research.
