On 19 September, an open curatorial event was held to discuss ways of combating corruption at the University. Representatives of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University compliance service took part.
The event was attended by the head of the university's compliance service, Amandykova Anar Aytpekova, the deputy head of the compliance service, Sadyk Tuzek Tuzelbaevich, the head of the student club anti-corruption technological laboratory, representatives of the City Advocates' of Almaty, and teachers from the physical-technical and law faculties. 
At the event, guests and participants told students about the different parts of the university's anti-corruption work, current anti-corruption rules and what is meant by a conflict of interest. The seminar discussed ways to prevent corruption. These include creating an anti-corruption culture, monitoring for corruption and analysing corruption risks.
To prevent students from committing corruption offences, the system of anti-corruption measures, internal analysis of corruption risks, prevention, timely identification, assessment and management of compliance and corruption risks were explained.
