Dimash Kudaibergen’s British fans celebrate Kazakhstan’s Republic day
As part of their admiration for the world-famous artist, members of the UK fan club came together to congratulate Kazakhstan on its national holiday, demonstrating how Dimash's art has become a bridge between cultures, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
The fan club, led by founder Jill Beecham and active members like Sébastiane Dunn, Pauline Bowen, and Sholpan Kesici, expressed their deep connection to Kazakh culture, which they discovered through Dimash’s powerful performances and unique voice. The group shared that their appreciation for Kazakhstan grew as they explored the singer’s heritage and values, leading them to participate in honouring the country on its significant day.
During a gathering in the UK, the fans discussed how Dimash’s music not only entertains but also educates and inspires listeners to learn more about Kazakhstan’s traditions and history. His influence has gone beyond music, fostering a sense of cultural curiosity and admiration for his homeland. Fans also highlighted how Dimash’s artistic contributions have made Kazakh culture more accessible to global audiences.
Professor Gulnar Mukhametkalieva from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University joined Dimash’s fans during her visit to the UK. She came to promote Kazakh traditions and strengthen academic and cultural ties.
During her trip, the professor participated in events organised by the Kazakh Centre and local Kazakh activists. She also familiarised herself with the activities of the Kazakh Speaking Club and Qazaq School London. Additionally, she delivered a lecture on "National Values and Youth" to Kazakh students at the University of Warwick.
