On October 24, 2024, an action "Hour without Light" was held in Dormitory No. 14 of the Farabi University, Faculty of Oriental Studies, dedicated to one of the most important UN Sustainable Development Goals - on energy conservation.

The students voluntarily turned off the lights for one hour to draw attention to the issue of economical and responsible use of electricity.

As part of the campaign, videos and photographs were shot in which students spend time in darkened rooms and discuss the importance of saving energy. The participants of the event called on all residents of the hostel and their friends to think about personal responsibility for energy consumption and contribute to the conservation of natural resources.

We hope that such actions will help to raise awareness among young people about the importance of energy efficiency and an environmentally friendly lifestyle.
