Students of KazNU - winners of the contest ‘The Best Student of Turkic Peoples’

Arman Ayazbek and Sayat Sharipbek, 4th year students of the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management of Al-Farabi KazNU, became winners of the contest ‘The Best Student of Turkic Peoples’.

 

The event was organised by the National Innovation Research Centre ‘Bilim orkenieti’ together with the Republican Innovation Centre ‘Zhaңa Kazakhstan’.

The purpose of the international forum ‘The Best Student of Turkic Peoples’ is to establish contact between gifted students.

The competition was attended by students who have achieved success in the field of science, art and sport from universities of Turkic-speaking countries: Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey and others.

 

According to the terms of the competition it was necessary to submit documents confirming all student achievements during the period of study. Students of Al-Farabi KazNU Arman Ayazbek and Sayat Sharipbek sent documents on participation in scientific conferences, they took part in the summer school ‘Aral Summer School’, as well as in the gathering-seminar of rescue units ‘Kazspas-2024’, organised by ‘Kazselezaschita’. As a result, talented students studying in the educational programme ‘Hydrology’ were awarded international recognition for their contribution to the development of youth policy of Turkic countries.

The success of our students not only testifies to the high level of their knowledge and leadership qualities, but also to the university's commitment to support and develop an active youth policy aimed at strengthening co-operation between the countries of the Turkic world.

Winning this competition also supports SDG 4 - ‘Quality Education’ and SDG 17 - ‘Partnership for Sustainable Development’, which emphasise the importance of education and international cooperation in achieving a sustainable future.
