Report on the event held on the topic "Financier is proud!"
In accordance with the 8th goal of the SDG - decent work and economic growth, as well as in honor of the holiday of the Day of Financiers and National Currency, on November 7, 2024, on the territory of the Faculty of International Relations with the participation of 2nd-year students of the specialty "World Economy" under the guidance of the senior lecturer of the Department of International Relations and World Economy, Ph.D. in Economics Bekmukhametova A.B. an event was held dedicated to such a relevant topic as the importance of the professions of a financier and the role of the national currency in the country's economy.
The main objectives of the event were:
1) Increasing awareness of the participants about the profession of a financier and its importance for society;
2) Disclosing the historical aspects of the creation and development of the national currency;
3) Motivating young people to master financial literacy and develop financial management skills.
The main stages of the event included:
* Creative part:
By the beginning of the event, an exhibition of drawings, posters and decorations prepared by the participants on the topic "Financier - it sounds proud!" was made.
* Opening of the event:
The participants were greeted by the organizers and invited guests. The goals and objectives of the event were announced, the importance of the profession of a financier, the national currency and the holiday were emphasized.
* Presentation:
Then the participants showed presentations on the following topics:
1) Formation of the national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan
2) Evolution of the design of the tenge banknote
3) The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the main issuer
4) How to distinguish real tenge banknotes from counterfeit ones?
5) How to become a successful financier?
6) Famous financiers of the Republic of Kazakhstan
7) The future of the tenge
The presentations considered the key aspects of the profession of a financier: responsibility, skills, opportunities for career growth. Particular attention was paid to the importance of competent financial management for business and economic development. The speakers also talked about the history of the national currency, its evolution and role in the economy. Interesting facts about the design of banknotes and coins were presented.
* Quiz and discussion:
To consolidate the knowledge gained, interactive quizzes and games were held. Participants actively answered questions, demonstrating awareness of the country's financial system and knowledge of the currency. After the quiz, a discussion took place about the future challenges of the financier profession and the future of the tenge. Following the quizzes, small gifts were distributed to the participants.
Results of the event:
The event received positive feedback from participants and guests and allowed them to deepen their knowledge of the financier profession, the importance of the national currency and learn something new for themselves. The organizers noted the high interest of young people and their desire to develop in the field of finance.
