November 15th is celebrated as the National Currency Day - Tenge in Kazakhstan. This year, 1st-year students of Library Science participated in an event dedicated to this day.
Senior Lecturer, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Kalima Tolebaevna Tuyenbayeva spoke about the period of the introduction of the tenge and how the national currency functions in the country's economy.
Mukhtar Khodzhabai, a lecturer at the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies, told the students the history of the tenge and showed how the appearance of banknotes has changed over the years of the currency's existence.
