On November 13, 2024, the event "Qaita-Qaita," organized by the Student Council of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, was held in the large red hall named after Zholdasbekov at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The main goal of the event was to introduce first-year students to the faculty and present the report of the Student Council President, Oralbek Dias. During the event, first-year students not only got acquainted with the activities of the Student Council but also met with active members of the faculty who are actively involved in university life.

Oralbek Dias presented a report on the activities of the Student Council, sharing the work done over the past years and future plans. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of active student participation in university life and highlighted achievements in academic and creative spheres. Dias urged students to work together, implement their ideas and initiatives, and contribute to the further development of the faculty.

It is also important to note that the Student Council actively monitors the internal order in Dormitory №6. The organization ensures discipline is maintained, helps resolve arising issues, and supports the creation of comfortable living conditions for students. This aspect of the Student Council's work plays a key role in maintaining a favorable atmosphere for students living in the dormitory and improving the quality of life on campus.

The event also included various games, dance, and vocal performances in which the first-year students demonstrated their ingenuity and creative potential. These activities were aimed at developing cooperation, teamwork, and creative initiatives among students. Such events contribute to strengthening connections between students and motivating them to become more active in university life.

The "Qaita-Qaita" project became a great platform not only for first-year students but for all students of the faculty to exchange ideas, present new initiatives, and establish important connections. The Student Council will continue organizing such events, playing a key role in the future development of the faculty and the university as a whole.

The "Qaita-Qaita" project actively contributes to the achievement of SDG 4: Quality Education, as it helps students develop key competencies such as teamwork, leadership, and creativity, which are essential for their future educational and professional growth. Events aimed at developing students as individuals and professionals create the conditions for quality education and holistic development.

Moreover, the event and the work of the Student Council contribute to the achievement of SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. The Student Council, by monitoring internal order in Dormitory №6 and organizing events, creates an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment for students, which helps in forming sustainable and harmonious university communities. It also improves interaction and cohesion between students, supporting the ideas of sustainability and cooperation on campus.

At the end of the event, Oralbek Dias handed over the position of Student Council President to Isa Arsen. We are confident that under his leadership, the Student Council will continue its active work aimed at the development of the faculty, improving the quality of student life, and creating sustainable, inclusive communities within the university.
