"Kinematics" Project: Transfer of Chairmanship and First-Year Students' Debut

15 november, 2024

On November 14, 2024, the "Kinematics" project took place in the Red Hall of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty, organized by the activists Student Bureau of the Bologna Process (BPSB). This event marked an important milestone for the entire university community, as within the project, the chairmanship was handed over from Denis Bessonny, and the first project of the first-year students, who had just started their activities within the organization, was presented.

Student Bureau of Bologna Process (SBBP) works actively with class leaders, providing assistance and clarifying important aspects of the university’s academic policies. This work continues throughout the students' academic journey, from their enrollment in the university until the completion of their studies. The organization helps students better navigate academic rules, provides information about the learning process, and protects students' interests.

The "Kinematics" project became a vivid example of how culture and creativity can unite students, regardless of their faculties and specializations. Participants of the event showcased their dance skills, and also engaged in a game format, where they developed design solutions and organized a chant battle between faculties. This not only demonstrated the strong team spirit of the students but also became a bright example of implementing SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

SDG 4 emphasizes the importance of integrating cultural and creative elements into the educational process, which fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. The "Kinematics" project was an important step in this direction, offering students not only an opportunity to immerse themselves in a creative atmosphere but also to learn teamwork, and to develop unconventional ideas and solutions.

Additionally, the project created an inclusive and supportive environment, which aligns with SDG 11—the goal of creating sustainable and harmonious communities. The application of art and culture in the educational context helps students interact better with each other, forming stronger and more united communities within the university.

At the end of the project, Denis handed over the chairmanship to Asem Satbayeva, wishing her success in her future work and studies. We are confident that under her leadership, the SBBP will continue to develop creative and cultural initiatives, as well as support students in their educational journey. We wish Asem fruitful work and success in her new endeavors!
