A social experiment on the topic: "Taza Univer"
On November 25, 2024, a social experiment on the topic: “Taza Univer” was conducted on the territory of the university within the framework of the environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan”. The social experiment was held by the participation of the 1st year students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, studying at Faculty of History and majoring in “History” and “Library Information Systems” and under the guidance of G.A. Koitasova, the senior lecturer of Department of Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Philology.
The purpose of the social experiment was to observe the responsible reaction of university students.
The experiment was carried out in interaction with the creative thinking of students in groups: how responsible are the students today, passing by, do they pay attention to the garbage that has fallen out, the plastic bottle lying on the territory? Will a dropped plastic bottle or paper be taken to the trash bin or will they pass by indifferently?
This was done with the idea of making an environmental contribution to maintaining the cleanliness of Kazakhstan and the cleanliness of the university territory. Students made a poster and performed a role-playing improvisation. As they passed by, they handed out gifts to students who picked up a plastic bottle. We believe that the students themselves also learned something useful from the experiment by conducting it.
