IV International Olympiad on Electrochemical Materials E
On October 19, 2024, the IV Olympiad on Electrochemical Materials was held online via Zoom. The event featured chemistry students from various countries, including China, Israel, Canada, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, and others. Students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, such as Ammar Mugharbel, Sergey Oparin, Alisher Abdissattar, and Balgabayeva Balausa, represented their group «Power Sources».
The group from KazNU is led by Zh.A. Supiуeva, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis, and Petrochemistry. Under her guidance, the «Power Sources» group was nominated for their project «For Pioneering Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy in a Citrus Cell».
The organizer of the Olympiad was Fedor Malchik. This international event became an important platform for exchanging scientific knowledge and ideas among young researchers from around the world.
Participants presented their research and projects related to electrochemical materials, which facilitated discussions on current issues and new approaches in the field. They shared their views on the latest advancements in electrochemistry and its applications across various sectors, such as energy, environmental technologies, and medicine.
The online format allowed for interactive sessions, including workshops and panel discussions, where students could ask questions to leading experts and receive valuable recommendations for their projects. This created a unique opportunity for networking and collaboration among participants from different countries.
The IV Olympiad on Electrochemical Materials marked an important step toward the development of international scientific communication, enabling students to advance their research and establish connections that may be beneficial for their future careers. Additionally, this event contributed to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education, emphasizing the importance of quality education and collaboration for achieving scientific progress.
