The " Ambassadorial hour" was held at the Faculty of International Relations

On November 25, the Faculty of International Relations hosted an open lecture "Indonesian Diplomacy" by Mr. Joenys Duana Sirait, Coordinator for Socio-Cultural Affairs, Head of the Cultural Center, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Indonesia in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The lecture highlighted the main stages of the formation of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Kazakhstan, as well as an overview of cooperation between Indonesia and Kazakhstan in the economic and humanitarian spheres, including education and tourism. The lecturer also covered the global context of modern international relations, the activities of international organizations and noted the role of diplomacy in maintaining peace and stability.

Mr. Joenys Duana Sirait spoke about the opportunities for further development of cooperation in the field of education and emphasized that KazNU is a leading university in Kazakhstan and the Central Asia region and has enormous potential.

The event was moderated by Gulnara Baikushikova, Head of the International Relations and World Economy Chair at al-Farabi KazNU. In her speech, she thanked Mr. Joenys Duana Sirait and expressed hope for further cooperation.

The lecture was intended for students of the 1st-4th year and young scientists of the Faculty of International Relations.

The "Ambassadorial hour" is a unique opportunity for international students, which allows the younger generation of diplomats to gain additional knowledge and gain valuable experience from active diplomats.
