Dina Amanbaeva graduated from a dual-degree program in International Relations, receiving diplomas from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
Dina achieved her main goal by obtaining a prestigious education and deepening her knowledge in the field of international relations. One of her significant achievements during her studies was the publication of an article in the Russian Federation's Higher Attestation Commission on the role of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in combating terrorism, as well as participation in international conferences for students and young scientists.
Thanks to the program, Dina acquired a deep understanding of regional dynamics, intercultural competencies, diplomatic and negotiation skills, as well as analytical abilities. These skills significantly enhance her professional potential, preparing her for a successful career in international organizations, diplomatic service, and other fields.
During her studies, Dina wrote research papers, used various methodologies, worked with databases, and analyzed United Nations General Assembly resolutions.
She noted that studying under the program taught her to appreciate and understand the diversity of approaches and perspectives, developed her flexibility of thinking and ability to adapt to various academic and sociocultural environments. This experience was valuable for her personal and professional growth, immersing her in two different educational systems and cultural contexts.
Dina recommends that universities implementing dual-degree programs ensure high-quality education in both systems, clarity and transparency of the program, support intercultural interaction, provide effective student support, and ensure international recognition of both diplomas for a successful career start in the global context. Graduates of dual-degree programs in international relations face challenges such as developing strategies for resolving global conflicts and managing international crises, as well as the complexities of international diplomacy due to the instability of the international relations system.
Dina recently completed her studies and received two diplomas, and hopes that this experience will influence her career. She intends to work in her field to fully utilize the knowledge and experience gained to achieve professional success and personal growth.
