«Bridge of Friendship: International Students of KazNU Celebrate Kazakhstan's Independence Day»

As part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed at strengthening intercultural dialogue and promoting education, the students of group PG-14 from the Faculty of Pre-University Education at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a festive event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 14, 2024. 

International students from China, under the guidance of their curator-adviser, Aden Zhansaya Shukirkyzy, prepared a rich program that included presentations on the history and culture of Kazakhstan, as well as performances of Kazakh songs and poetry. 

The event began with a ceremonial welcome, during which the students expressed their gratitude to Kazakhstan for the opportunity to receive a quality education and immerse themselves in the rich heritage of the country. In her speech, the curator-adviser emphasized the importance of preserving and respecting cultural values, which serve as the foundation for fostering friendship among nations. 

Special attention was given to key milestones in the history of Kazakhstan's independence. The students highlighted the country's achievements over the years of sovereignty and its role on the international stage. 

The creative segment of the event featured performances of traditional songs and poetry dedicated to the homeland. Additionally, an interactive corner was set up where participants could explore elements of national clothing. 

The event concluded with a joint performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, symbolizing unity and respect for the country that has become a meaningful, albeit temporary, home for the students. 

Such events contribute not only to the popularization of Kazakh culture but also to the strengthening of intercultural ties, aligning perfectly with the Sustainable Development Goals and the university's mission to nurture tolerant and educated global citizens. 

The Faculty of Pre-University Education at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University continues to actively implement projects aimed at fostering intercultural interaction and promoting respect for cultural diversity.
