State support for the youth of Kazakhstan

In an interview with the 24 kz channel's "Face to Face" program, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek touched upon important issues of the 2025 "working professions".

1. The main goal is to combine colleges and universities in the training of qualified specialists who are in demand in the labor market. In determining these needs, it was noted that 9 atlases were created last year, and 11 Atlases of specialties needed for each region this year.

2. The combination of the need for professional standards and atlas in a government order model with a deficit. In this regard, 30 universities have demonstrated, using the example of K. Satpayev University, that they develop their educational programs in conjunction with more than 100 colleges of vocational education.

3. For the development of regional universities, the opening of branches of 34 foreign universities in the cities of Aktobe, Petropavlovsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Taraz, Zhetysu, Kyzylorda, Aktau, etc. gives applicants a wide choice starting this year.  Now, without traveling abroad, you can get strong knowledge in Kazakhstan, for this you need a good knowledge of a foreign language. At the same time, answering the question of the dormitory shortage, he noted that he had reduced the deficit by 82,000 beds and by 14,000 beds. The opening of 1,200-bed dormitories in Petropavlovsk, the Eurasian National University with 2,656 beds, and the shortage of 12,000 beds in Almaty will be solved within 1-2 years as a result of the work done by the akimats.

4. I believe that there are great opportunities for young people on the path to science: bachelor's degrees are growing by 20 percent annually, master's and doctoral degrees by 15 percent, and in the 2028-2029 academic year, the scholarship for doctoral students will amount to 500,000. Young scientists are pleased that our president has allocated 200 new apartments. In honor of the 90th anniversary of the Kazakh National University named afterAl-Farabi, we witnessed how our young scientists got apartments.   

5. On behalf of the President, 4 new mechanisms were initiated, each of which was explained individually. He also spoke about the ongoing work on the Serpin program.

Currently, there are great opportunities for young people who want to study and study. If our youth can work and compete for the state, then our country will become a prosperous state.
