A meeting between representatives of KazNU and the head of the UN Department of Global Communications in Almaty took place at UN Plaza.

Today, an important meeting of the directors of the Academic Regional Resource Center for Information support about the UN Delovarova L.F., heads of the UNESCO Chairs on Sustainable Development Bazarbayeva T.A., UNESCO Chairs on Journalism and Communication Oshanova O.Zh., Director of the Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development Mukhtar L.K. with the representative of the UN Department of Global Communications in Kazakhstan Vlastimil Samek took place in the Almaty office of UN Plaza. This meeting took place against the backdrop of a significant date - the 80th anniversary of the UN, which is celebrated in 2025. This anniversary emphasizes the importance of multilateral cooperation and collective efforts in the field of sustainable development, in particular in education and social change. The participants of the meeting discussed strategic areas of cooperation, exchanged ideas on the implementation of projects that will help increase awareness and involvement of students and the public in sustainable development issues. Particular attention was paid to the importance of integrating practical solutions to combat climate change and social inequality. Vlastimil Samek noted the importance of cooperation between KazNU and the UN in achieving the set goals. The discussion resulted in an agreement to jointly develop and implement a number of initiatives that will help advance sustainable development in the region.
