The Department of Surgery Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an open day dedicated to the prevention of cervical cancer, held at the Almaty Regional Multidisciplinary Clinic

On January 18, 2025, an open day dedicated to the prevention of cervical cancer was held at the Almaty Regional Multidisciplinary Clinic. The event brought together 25 patients interested in taking care of their health and preventing this serious disease.

As part of the event, the clinic's specialists conducted free consultations and talked about the importance of regular examinations, such as cytological examination (pap test) and human papillomavirus (HPV) test, which are key methods for early diagnosis of cervical cancer. The participants of the event also learned about risk factors, HPV vaccination methods and modern approaches to the treatment of the disease.

Medical experts emphasized that early detection of cervical cancer significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and full recovery. Doctors urged women not to ignore regular visits to the gynecologist and undergo preventive examinations.

The event provoked a positive response among women of all ages, and also helped raise awareness of the importance of preventing cervical cancer and its early detection.
