The Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology held the event “Human Health Is the Wealth of Society” within SDG 3
On January 24, 2025, the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology held the event “Human Health Is the Wealth of Society”, aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle practices among students. The event was organized within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 3 – Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, and was conducted offline in the format of a curatorial hour.
The main objective of the event was to develop students’ sustainable healthy lifestyle skills, increase awareness of physical and mental health, and foster personal responsibility for maintaining and improving health in academic and social settings.
The program included an interactive lecture followed by an open discussion, during which students explored key aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Three core components of health were addressed: physical, mental, and social well-being. Particular attention was paid to factors influencing overall health, including regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, and psychological well-being under academic workload. A separate session focused on harmful habits and their negative impact on brain health and the human body.
To reinforce the material, participants received checklists with practical recommendations for adopting healthy habits over a one-week period. The event concluded with a discussion on the role of the university in promoting healthy lifestyles among students.
The event was attended by 7 students and 2 faculty members. As a result, participants demonstrated increased awareness of health-related factors and strong interest in adopting healthy habits. The event contributed to the implementation of SDG 3 “Good Health and Well-Being”.
