Rector participated in meetings of the working sections of the National Kurultai
In Astana, sessions of the working sections of the National Kurultai were held: "Civil Society", "Culture. Art. Spirituality" and "Education and Science"
The moderators were Ruslan Zheldibay, Assistant to the President for Internal Policy and Communications, Aida Balaeva, Minister of Culture and Information, and Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education. The sessions were also attended by Gani Beisembaev, Minister of Education.
Before the start, the Deputy Chairman of the National Kurultai – State Counselor Erlan Karin emphasized that the key priorities for the work of the National Kurultai this year were outlined by the Head of State in his January interview with the newspaper "Ana tili" and in his speech at the expanded Government meeting.
The State Counselor highlighted the importance of the ongoing reforms:
«Сегодня по инициативе и под непосредственным руководством Президента планомерно проводятся очень важные реформы, направленные на укрепление нашей государственности и основ национальной экономики. И мы уже видим их результаты. В стране идет масштабная модернизация инженерных сетей и коммунального хозяйства. Крупные проекты реализуются в энергетической отрасли. Во всех регионах ремонтируются и строятся тысячи автомобильных и железных дорог. В ряде городов реконструированы старые и запущены новые терминалы аэропортов. Во многом благодаря господдержке рекордный урожай в прошлом году собрали наши аграрии. Растут объемы жилищного строительства, в том числе социального жилья. Беспрецедентные усилия государство прилагает для развития науки и образования. В обществе методично укрепляется статус педагогов, врачей, ученых, повышается престиж рабочих профессий. Особое внимание уделяется системной поддержке молодежи, развитию массового спорта и креативной индустрии. Все это лишь малая часть уже достигнутых результатов и начатых изменений. Многие реформы, инициированные Главой государства, реализуются при активном участии членов Национального курултая. И это является еще одним свидетельством эффективного взаимодействия государства и общества».
The progress of implementing the initiatives and proposals of the members of the National Kurultai was discussed. Additionally, the members of the National Kurultai made recommendations in the areas of strengthening consolidation and civil society, human rights protection, cultural and spiritual development, and addressing social issues.
In conclusion, the moderators noted that the initiatives proposed during the discussions would be consolidated by the Secretariat of the National Kurultai as part of the preparation for the fourth session.
