SDG direction No. 17: a round table dedicated to cooperation between the two countries in the field of education

On February 13, 2025, the Department of Language and General Education Training for Foreigners within the Faculty of Pre-University Education of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University within the framework of the social project No. 17 "Strengthening instruments for achieving sustainable development and activating the mechanisms of global partnership for sustainable development", which includes the direction "Sustainable Development Goals" and the 40th anniversary of the department held a round table on "Mutual cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in the field of education." 

  The round table was attended by Huang Xiaoming, Consul for Education of the Consulate General of China in Almaty, Zhang Wei, Consul for Science, and representatives of a foreign company, Tang Meng, an employee of the branch of the Northwestern Polytechnic University of China (NCPU) at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and students from China studying Russian and Kazakh languages.  In his welcoming speech, the dean of the Faculty of Pre-university Education, Spatai Altynbekovich Sartaev, introduced the history of the department and faculty during the round table, and the head of the department, Bakhyt Manatovna Aitbayeva, introduced the scientific, methodological, and educational work of the department in her report. During the round table, bilateral partnership in the field of education and science was discussed.
