Visit to the Situational Management Center (SDG #16 “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions”)

On February 20, 2025, master's students of Baku State University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, studying within the framework of the dual-degree educational program of the master's degree "7M04212 - Maritime and Energy Law", visited the Center for Situational Management of KazNU. The visit was organized within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 16 "Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions" and is aimed at studying modern technologies of digital monitoring, mechanisms for ensuring law and order and management in emergency situations.

This event was held with the assistance of the head of the department of customs, financial and environmental law Kuanalieva G.A., coordinator of the two-diploma educational program of the master's degree "7M04212 - Maritime and Energy Law" professor Aygarinova G.T., as well as adviser Rasheva G.K. Among the participants were graduate students of Baku State University: Amirli A., Ibrahimzade L., Mammadova S., Mirzayeva S., Tayarli S., Khuseynova A., Khuseynov A., as well as graduate students of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi: Karkyn M., Abilova D., Nagmanov N., Bektursyn Zh.

During the tour, the Center's staff spoke about key aspects of digital monitoring used to ensure security and promptly respond to various incidents. The graduate students learned about modern data collection and analysis systems, crime prevention algorithms, and methods for increasing the efficiency of government institutions. They also demonstrated the work of automated surveillance systems, artificial intelligence, and other technologies aimed at protecting citizens and maintaining law and order.

The visit to the Center for Situational Management allowed the master's students to deepen their knowledge of modern digital management mechanisms and the importance of legal regulation in this area. The participants noted the high level of digitalization and the relevance of the presented solutions for the development of the legal system in modern conditions.
