Presentation of Virtual Laboratory Works on General Physics at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of KazNU. SDG 4 and SDG 9.

On February 20, 2025, a presentation of virtual laboratory works in General Physics took place at room 330 of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of KazNU. The IT company ME Group (Astana) organized the event as part of the TechOrda program. The presentation was attended by heads of departments and faculty members.
Virtual Reality in Education
ME Group specializes in the development of innovative AR/VR solutions and custom digital products in the following areas:
- VR simulators for industrial safety;
- AR/VR solutions in education;
- AR/VR technologies in tourism;
- Metaverses and digital platforms.
One of the company’s key focuses is developing and implementing virtual laboratory complexes for educational institutions. These complexes are available in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, and English) and cover Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Training using VR headsets, tablets, interactive whiteboards, and personal computers significantly enhances material comprehension and practical skills for school, college, and university students.
TechOrda Program and IT Education Development
TechOrda is a program aimed at developing human capital in the IT sector. Within this program, ME Group collaborates with Big Dream Lab, introducing augmented and virtual reality technologies into various industries, including education, marketing, construction, printing, manufacturing, and industry.
The integration of virtual laboratories into the educational process opens new opportunities for students and teachers, allowing them to conduct interactive experiments without expensive laboratory equipment. This is particularly relevant for disciplines requiring laboratory research and practical training.
Implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- SDG 4: Quality Education – the introduction of digital technologies enhances the accessibility and effectiveness of learning, making laboratory research available to a greater number of students.
- SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure – the development of IT technologies in education contributes to digital transformation and the creation of innovative educational platforms.
Future Prospects
The presented virtual laboratory works have a high potential for integration into the educational programs of KazNU and other academic institutions. They make the learning process more visual, interactive, and accessible.
The Faculty of Physics and Technology of KazNU continues to actively develop cooperation with IT companies to introduce modern digital technologies into the educational process, aligning with global trends in digital education and the university’s sustainable development strategy.
