Young scholars of the International Relations Faculty discussed UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals

Second-year master's students of the Faculty of International Relations held a discussion on current issues of modern relations through the prism of the implementation of 17 Sustainable Development Goals and assessing the role of the United Nations in the modern world. This discussion was held based on the results of the educational course "The Role of the UN in Global Security", which was conducted by Dr. Akmaral Arystanbekova, Professor, First Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the UN, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The discussion touched upon such issues as the escalation of international conflicts, international relations in the context of a new polarity and the search for new approaches to solving problems related to global climate and environmental change, the consequences of urbanization, and irregular migration processes.
The young scholars dedicated their discussion and attempt to develop recommendations to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN and the 30th Anniversary of the Faculty of International Relations.
Master's students from Indonesia, China, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took part in the discussion.
