Seminar dedicated to the scientific legacy of Professor L.S. Akhmetova

     The scientific and methodological seminar "Scientific heritage of Professor L.S. Akhmetova" dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
    The seminar was attended by representatives of the public, well-known scientists from leading universities and research institutes of the Republic and the Russian Federation, journalists, teachers and students of the university.
The event was opened by Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev, congratulating Professor LeylaAkhmetova on the holiday and noted her great achievements and contribution to the development of science.
During the event was presented the book of the 29th issue of the series "Gibratty Gumyr", "Akhmetova Laila Seisenbekovna" and the megaproject "Our gift to the Motherland for the Victory Anniversary on May 9, 2025".
    The event featured speeches by Deputy Secretary General of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia and Africa Valery Ruzin, Chairman of the Public Association "Union of Women of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University", Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Academician Bayan Zholdasbekova, academician and Professor of KazNU Mukhambetkali Burkitbayev, representatives of Belarus, President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan Banu Nurgazieva, Chairman of the Union of Veterans of Afghanistan Murat Abdushukurov, Chairman of the Union of Officers, Major General Mahmut Telegusov and many others.
    The seminar became a platform for discussing topical issues related to the role of women in science and their contribution to the development of various scientific disciplines. The participants noted the importance of such events to raise awareness about the achievements of women in the scientific field. The event was organized by the UNESCO Chairs in Journalism and Communication of the Faculty of Journalism.
