International Winter School

     On February 6, 2025, a winter school was held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, organized by the Chair of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry. The theme of the current winter school is “Integration interactions between education, science and production as a factor in the progress of modern society in conditions of sustainable development.”
     Education has the potential to accelerate achievement of all the Sustainable Development Goals and should therefore be main part of strategies to achieve each of them. The integration interaction of education, science and production is one of the key factors of sustainable development in the field of training highly professional specialists with a university education.
     Laboratory training is a mandatory component of all educational programs implemented at our faculty. In laboratory classes, students master the theoretical foundations of the discipline they are studying and acquire practical skills. Therefore special attention is paid to improving educational innovative programs such as MOOCs and virtual laboratories. The development of a virtual laboratory work “Study of the extraction process in a rotary-disc extractor” by leading associate professors of our department is a significant contribution to the training of high-quality technologists.
