On the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan!
In the light of the January address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan, published in the newspaper "Ana tili", where President K.-Zh.K. Tokayev approved that this year a landmark event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan will be solemnly celebrated at the Law Faculty of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University within the framework of the 4th and 16th SDGs, On the 70th anniversary of the formation of the Faculty of Law of the Faculty of Law of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law by Associate Professor Kalisheva N.H. and M.Yu.n.,Bazartaeva E.B. With the support of members of the scientific community, Fair Law" on 02/28/2025, a guest lecture was organized, symbolically timed to coincide with the day of formation of this important state body for Kazakh society, which contributes to the development and implementation of state policy to ensure social harmony and national unity.
The speakers were well-known representatives of the APK, Tamara Nikolaevna Yelgeldieva - Chairman of the Association of Moldovans and Romanians, chairman of the public association "Moldovan Cultural Center "Strugurash" and Shaimerdenova Mendiganym Jamalbekovna, member of the APK, member of the scientific expert group of the APK, Professor KazNAI. Temirbeka Zhurgenova, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor.  The leadership of the Faculty of Law and the Department made welcoming remarks.

As you know, the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan (the original name) was established on March 1, 1995 and renamed in 2007. Since 2016, this day has been celebrated as a holiday - Gratitude Day. I would like to pay special attention to the changes in the powers of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, which were recently approved by presidential decree in the Regulations on the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. This document defines its status and powers, as well as the specifics of the organization of its interaction with government agencies and public associations, the procedure for participation in the development and implementation of the state policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of interethnic relations. 
It is important to note that for independent Kazakhstan, which, among the principles of statehood that are special to the people, always attaches great importance to the unity of the people through the development and strengthening of the identity, culture and languages of each ethnic group, that is why this document is timely and relevant. After all, numerous representatives of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan must work for the benefit of our common Homeland, to preserve peace and stability in the country, and to educate a decent younger generation of Kazakhstanis. In the age of new information technologies, it is necessary to be able to competently promote their national values, explain the advantages of the Central Asian community in an accessible way and find new ways and means of cultural interaction, and for this, at the legislative level, it is necessary to strengthen the positions of their activities.
It is interesting that the Regulation on the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan establishes a new function, which is to assist it in the development of charity, mediation in the field of social harmony and national unity. The powers of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan include the formation and reorganization of the Assembly; determining the direction of its activities; appointment and dismissal of senior officials of the Assembly; appointment of five deputies of the Senate of the Parliament on the proposal of the Council of the Assembly.; Convocations of regular Sessions of the Assembly, the supreme governing body of the Assembly, In the period between sessions, the Assembly is governed by the Assembly Council. 
In order to consolidate society, ensure the unity and formation of national and state civic identity, further improve the Kazakh model of tolerance and social harmony, as well as to increase the effectiveness of activities, the Assembly participates in the development and implementation of the state policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of interethnic and interfaith relations. According to the regulations, the Assembly independently develops a Development Concept.
Today, the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan makes a great contribution to the development of civic identity and tolerance in Kazakh society through its work with all ethnic and cultural associations and structures of the APK. And the task of representatives of ethno-cultural associations, as Kazakh patriots who value peace and harmony in Sovereign Kazakhstan, is to actively carry out a set of measures aimed at ensuring interethnic harmony and strengthening the unity of the people of Kazakhstan!    The event held at the Faculty of Law is very effective for the quality of the educational process and such meetings have a fruitful effect on strengthening the principle of public trust in the government!
